Consolo O’Brien LLC, a Northern Ohio law firm, focuses on representing private and public sector employers in labor, employment and workers’ compensation matters, as well as counsel on business issues and transactions.

Consolo O’Brien evolved out of the past legal careers of our principals, Frank Consolo and Terence K. O’Brien. Terry O’Brien was a partner in a local law firm for 10 years and practiced workers compensation defense for 14 years. Terry managed that firm’s workers’ compensation practice and directed senior attorney Sherri Neiding McComas and legal assistant Suzanne Zaranko, on all aspects of the practice, including litigation of workers compensation appeals, defending VSSR claims and representing state-fund and self-insured employers at Industrial Commission hearings throughout Ohio.

Frank Consolo managed his own law firm from 1992 until 2001, when he joined Terry. Frank spent 17 years concentrating his practice in labor relations and employment litigation, including 5 years with Terry representing employers in workers compensation matters and litigating workers compensation appeals.

In 2007, after years of experience honing their legal services and seeing a need to provide innovative and cost-effective legal services to businesses throughout Northern Ohio, Frank and Terry, along with senior attorney Sherri Neiding McComas, legal assistant Suzanne Zaranko, and Office Manager Debbie Rann joined together to form Consolo O’Brien LLC.

We pride ourselves on being in tune with, and sensitive to, the economic realities faced by companies doing business in Ohio today. We think “outside the box” in terms of delivering legal services to our clients.
