Frank Consolo

Frank Consolo is managing member of Consolo O’Brien LLC. Frank concentrates his practice in the areas of workers’ compensation defense, labor relations and employment law, including labor litigation and employment discrimination litigation. His practice includes management representation, including counseling and representation on workers’ compensation, labor relations and personnel matters. Frank also represents small to medium sized businesses in general corporate matters.
Mr. Consolo is experienced in federal and state employment law and litigation, including litigating workers’ compensation appeals, defending causes of action for disability, race, age and sex discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful discharge in violation of public policy actions in federal and state courts, and before the Equal Employment Opportunity and Ohio Civil Rights Commissions.
Mr. Consolo is also experienced in federal labor law and litigation, including defending causes of action for breach of collective bargaining agreements and breach of duty of fair representation in federal and state courts. He has represented clients in representation cases and unfair labor cases before the National Labor Relations Board and State Employment Relations Board as well as in labor relations matters, including labor arbitrations, grievance handling, labor union hand-billing and picketing, labor union organizing drives and elections, negotiating collective bargaining agreements, preparing employee handbooks, employee buy-out agreements and employment discrimination policies.
Mr. Consolo is a 1989 graduate of Case Western Reserve University's School of Law and is a member of the Labor Sections of the Cleveland, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to and practiced before U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Ohio, Northern District of Illinois, Southern District of New York and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second and Sixth Circuits. In January 2003, Frank achieved certification as a Specialist in Labor and Employment Law in the state of Ohio. Frank is also a Councilman in the City of University Heights.
